Evaluation - Question 4

Evaluation - Question 3

This is a short video of our target audience watching the trailer and giving our group feedback.

Here is a voice recording of feedback from our fellow media class members. We decided to show everyone the clips that we had previously filmed (not edited fully) to gain some reference of what was good and what we needed to improve on. We recorded this feedback and this is was their responses.

'WolfPack' Production Logo

Here is the final Animated Production Logo for our Trailer 'Bloodline. We plan to use this Production Logo at the beginning of our trailer and therefore we will most likely cut the animation so that it starts around 0:06 seconds.

Music

After many hours of searching for royalty free music, our group came to the decision of using these two soundtracks. We choose these two soundtracks as from our research into other real media trailers, we found that a gradual strong beat built tension and enticed the audience. We also choose a much faster, intense Dubstep beat which was extremely necessary for the montage shots. Below is the music that will be used in the trailer.

Voiceover

My group also used GarageBand to record the voiceovers for the trailer. It wasn't too complex for us to us it but it was advanced enough for what we wanted to achieve. Below is a screenshot of the recording on GarageBand.

Influential Film Trailers

This is a film trailer that has really captured my groups attention, whereby many aspects of this trailer can be incorparated into our teaser trailer. The storyline of the film 'Shank' relates significantly to our Urban Drama, 'Bloodline'. It depicts a close knit relationship between brothers which shows how the lives can change significantly to result back to crime. From watching this trailer, we feel that the non-digetic voiceover plays a major roll in giving the audience an understanding of the storyline, drawing the viewer in.
Furthermore, we have realised that we need a larger amount of montage shots to pull the whole trailer together. This will make the storyline less obvious for the audience while highlight the genre to entice the target audience.

Sharing Footage

Here are two ways our group have managed to show and share filmed clips. We have used GoogleDrive and Dropbox to upload our filmed clips so that everyone in our group has access to them. Therefore, after a day of filming, we can quickly and easily share our content with each other. It is also useful as it allows us to have the clips with us everywhere we go (e.g: in school & at home) which helps with editing.
Below are examples of our uploaded footage to GoogleDrive and Dropbox:

Communication

We have used a group chat on Whatsapp to communicate with each other and discuss filming and editing. It allows our group to share information on where we will be shotting a scene and what time etc. It is also extremely good because it is a free app and gives you real time messaging allowing us to send messages, photos and videos to the whole group at one time. Above is a couple of examples of the application and what we discuss.

Final Magazine Front Cover

After some critical feedback from my teacher and some more extensive research, I concluded that the main image should be changed to a more straight/head on shot as this is a more powerful and strong shot used in magazines. Therefore, I took another shot of the protagonist in this shot with the intense emotion and replaced the original main image, I used the same technique as I did the previous image for the effects. Also, I decided to move the sell lines (on the right hand-side) and barcode more over to the edge of the magazine while making them slightly bigger. Finally, I made the banner images all the same size as this would add to the professionalism of the magazine.
